Bacalar Lagoon Tours in Caribbean Mexico

There’s nowhere else quite like Bacalar Lagoon, a freshwater lake that's only an hour from Costa Maya. And when the sun shines, the water takes on the most brilliant shades of blue, creating a view you’ll never forget.

But Bacalar isn’t all about admiring the scenery. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy when you join our Bacalar Lagoon excursions. If kayaking is your thing, then join a clear-bottomed kayak tour. As you paddle through the water, you'll be able to see the brightly colored fish and tropical plants beneath you. Perhaps checking out the lagoon on a catamaran is more your scene. Or, if you've got good balance, stand up paddle boarding is a great way to explore.

As well as boasting the ‘Lagoon of Seven Colors’, Bacalar is also home to the world’s oldest organisms, called stromatolites. These stone-like formations are over 3.5 billion years old and are an important (and protected) part of the lagoon.

If you want to pay Bacalar Lagoon a visit - and really, who wouldn’t - check out our range of Bacalar Lagoon excursions and book yourself a place.
